Major OpenAPI.NET update: v2 and v3 released

Microsoft just released v2 and v3 of OpenAPI.NET, what it’s calling the biggest update to the library since it launched in 2018.

v2 now supports OpenAPI 3.1, improves JSON parsing, and introduces lazy reference resolution. v3 goes further, with support for OpenAPI 3.2.0 and broader changes to how it handles media types, schemas, examples, and security flows.

If you’re working with OpenAPI specs in .NET, these changes might impact how you generate, parse, or validate your specs going forward.
