VS Code for the Web: Azure Brings Faster Paths From AI to Cloud

Microsoft is giving developers a smoother way to go from AI-suggested code to a running cloud workspace with the latest updates to VS Code for the Web: Azure. The browser-based environment now lets you open code directly from Microsoft Foundry or Azure Copilot, drop into an editable workspace, refine it with Copilot in the editor, and push changes without setting up anything locally.

With support for major languages, GitHub repos, and the Azure Developer CLI, the experience is starting to feel like a true cloud-first workflow. No installs. No configuration. Just open, edit, and build.

Do you see yourself shifting more of your development into the browser?
